Role Overview for Chief Growth Officer | Private Equity-Backed Services Company | Tampa, FL
JRG Partners has been exclusively retained to lead the search for a transformative Chief Growth Officer (CGO) for a high-growth, private equity-backed services company headquartered in Tampa, Florida. This is a pivotal, career-defining opportunity for a visionary commercial leader to join the executive team and architect the next phase of exponential growth. Our client is a market leader in its niche, poised for significant expansion through both organic initiatives and strategic acquisitions. The private equity sponsor is a top-tier firm known for partnering with management teams to build world-class organizations and create substantial enterprise value.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CGO will be the single-threaded owner of the company’s entire commercial strategy and execution. You will have full P&L responsibility for all revenue-generating functions, including marketing, sales, business development, and customer success. This role is not just about managing teams; it is about building a scalable, predictable, and efficient growth engine that will drive the company towards a successful exit. The ideal candidate is a data-driven strategist and a hands-on operator who thrives in the fast-paced, results-oriented environment of a private equity portfolio company. You will be a key partner to the CEO, the board of directors, and the private equity firm’s operating partners, shaping the strategic direction of the company and ensuring its commercial success.
This position requires a leader who can seamlessly integrate strategy with execution. You will be responsible for developing and articulating a compelling growth vision while also rolling up your sleeves to build the processes, systems, and teams necessary to achieve it. Your success will be measured by tangible metrics such as revenue growth, market share expansion, customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), and ultimately, the increase in EBITDA. This is an exceptional opportunity to leave a lasting impact on a dynamic organization and share in the significant financial rewards of a successful private equity value creation story.
