The Head of Institutional Marketing will have a broad and impactful remit, overseeing all aspects of marketing strategy and execution for the institutional channel. Key responsibilities are multifaceted and include:

Strategic Planning & Leadership

  • Develop, articulate, and execute a comprehensive institutional marketing plan that aligns with the firm’s overall business objectives, sales targets, and AUM growth goals.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the institutional sales and client service teams, providing marketing insights and support to drive new business and retain existing clients.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, using these insights to refine marketing strategies and product positioning.

Brand, Messaging & Content Development

  • Oversee the creation of a robust thought leadership program, collaborating with investment teams to produce insightful content such as white papers, market commentaries, research reports, and webcasts that engage institutional audiences.
  • Direct the development and maintenance of all institutional marketing collateral, including pitch books, fund factsheets, due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), and presentations, ensuring accuracy, brand consistency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Tailor messaging and content for specific institutional segments (e.g., public pensions, corporate plans, E&Fs) and geographic regions to ensure maximum relevance and impact.

Multi-Channel Campaign Management

Educational & Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Business, Communications, or a related field is required.
  • An MBA or other advanced degree is highly preferred.
  • CFA, CAIA, or other relevant professional certifications are a significant plus.

Experience & Knowledge
