Key Responsibilities of VP of Finance (SaaS) – Boston, MA
Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Lead the development and execution of comprehensive financial plans, annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range strategic models. Provide in-depth financial analysis of business performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to inform strategic decision-making. Drive scenario planning and financial modeling to support new initiatives, product launches, and market expansion.
Financial Operations & Reporting
Oversee all aspects of the finance and accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury management. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external stakeholders. Manage external audits and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
SaaS Metrics & Business Analytics
Develop, monitor, and report on key SaaS financial and operational metrics such as ARR, Churn, LTV, CAC, unit economics, gross margin, and burn rate. Strategic Business Partnering

Team Leadership & Development

Risk Management & Compliance

Requirements for the VP of Finance (SaaS) – Boston, MA
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from an accredited institution is required. An MBA or CPA certification is highly preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5-7 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., VP of Finance, Head of Finance, Senior Director of Finance) within a high-growth SaaS or technology company. SaaS Expertise
