Key Responsibilities of SVP, Global HR with a Technology Hardware Company – Phoenix, AZ

Strategic Leadership & Executive Partnership

  • Act as a trusted advisor and strategic counsel to the CEO and executive team on all human capital matters, providing insights and solutions that drive business outcomes.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive, forward-looking global HR strategy that supports the company’s long-term vision, mission, and strategic plans.
  • Utilize HR analytics and data-driven insights to inform business decisions, predict talent trends, and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
  • Lead the HR function through periods of rapid growth, organizational change, and potential M&A activities, ensuring seamless integration and cultural alignment.
  • Champion and embody the company’s culture and values, ensuring they are embedded in all people processes and practices across the globe.

Talent Management & Organizational Development

  • Design and execute a sophisticated global talent acquisition strategy to attract top-tier talent in highly competitive engineering, manufacturing, and technology markets.
  • Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring a positive and consistent employee experience.
  • Develop and implement robust succession planning and leadership development programs to build a strong pipeline of future leaders from within the organization.
  • Create and manage a comprehensive performance management framework that fosters a culture of continuous feedback, accountability, and high performance.
  • Lead learning and development initiatives that enhance employee skills, foster career growth, and support the evolving needs of the business.

Total Rewards & HR Operations

  • Architect a global total rewards philosophy and strategy, including executive compensation, equity programs, sales incentives, and broad-based benefits, to ensure market competitiveness and attract/retain premier talent.
  • Oversee the administration of all compensation and benefits programs, ensuring compliance with local regulations and fiscal responsibility.
  • Drive operational excellence within the HR function by leveraging technology (HRIS, ATS) to automate processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the employee experience.
  • Ensure global compliance with all labor laws, regulations, and reporting requirements in every country of operation.
  • Manage complex employee relations issues with a high degree of professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment.

Culture & Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)

  • Serve as the primary champion for the company’s culture, actively working with leadership to create an environment that is inclusive, empowering, and innovative.
  • Develop and execute a meaningful and impactful global DEI strategy that is woven into the fabric of the organization, from hiring and promotion to leadership development.
  • Establish metrics and reporting mechanisms to track progress on DEI goals and drive accountability across the organization.
  • Foster an environment of open communication and psychological safety, where all employees feel valued, heard, and respected.

Requirements for the SVP, Global HR with a Technology Hardware Company – Phoenix, AZ

  • A minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role (VP, SVP, or CHRO) overseeing a global HR function.
  • Demonstrable experience within the technology, manufacturing, semiconductor, or hardware industry is strongly preferred. Experience in a publicly-traded company is a significant asset.
  • Proven track record of success as a strategic business partner to a CEO and executive leadership team, with the ability to influence and drive change at the highest levels.
  • Extensive experience scaling an organization through rapid growth phases, including organic expansion and M&A integration.
  • Deep expertise across all HR disciplines, including talent acquisition, organizational design, executive compensation, employee relations, and HR systems.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to understand business drivers and connect them to a cohesive human capital strategy.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a history of building and developing high-performing, engaged HR teams.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is highly preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as a SHRM-SCP (Senior Certified Professional) or SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) are highly desirable.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Phoenix, AZ metropolitan area.
