Strategic Financial Planning

Spearhead the development of the company’s long-range strategic and financial plans. Drive the annual operating budget and quarterly forecasting processes across all business units and functions, ensuring tight alignment with corporate strategy, market opportunities, and shareholder expectations. Challenge assumptions and ensure financial rigor in all planning activities.

Executive & Board Reporting

Oversee the creation and delivery of comprehensive financial reporting packages for the executive leadership team and the Board of Directors. Your analysis will form the basis for critical strategic discussions and decisions.

Performance Management & Analysis

Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across the enterprise. Business Partnership & Decision Support

Act as a trusted financial advisor to business unit presidents and functional leaders. Provide sophisticated financial modeling, scenario analysis, and strategic counsel for major initiatives, including new product launches, M&A opportunities, capital investments, and other strategic projects.

Leadership and Team Development

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, geographically dispersed CP&A organization. Cultivate a culture of intellectual curiosity, accountability, and collaboration. Attract, retain, and develop top-tier financial talent, building a strong succession pipeline for the future.

Capital Planning and Allocation

Collaborate closely with Treasury, Risk Management, and Actuarial teams on capital management and allocation strategies. Ensure that capital is deployed effectively to support growth initiatives while maintaining financial strength and meeting regulatory requirements. This includes a deep understanding of standards set by bodies like the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC).

Process and Systems Enhancement

Drive the continuous improvement of CP&A processes, systems, and tools. Champion the adoption of advanced analytics, automation, and business intelligence platforms to enhance the speed, accuracy, and strategic value of the insights provided by the CP&A function.

Investor Relations Collaboration

Partner with the Investor Relations team to develop the company’s financial narrative for the investment community. Provide essential support for quarterly earnings calls, investor presentations, and the development of annual guidance.

Educational Background

A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field is required. An MBA from a top-tier institution is strongly preferred.

Professional Certifications

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation is highly desirable.

Proven track record of building, leading, and motivating large, high-performance finance teams. Must demonstrate exceptional executive presence, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and persuasively to C-suite executives, the Board of Directors, and external stakeholders.

Strategic & Analytical Acumen

Superior strategic thinking capabilities combined with world-class financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to see the big picture while also maintaining a strong command of the details.

Technical Proficiency

Expertise with sophisticated ERP and EPM systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Anaplan, Hyperion) and business intelligence/data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
