As the Regional HR Director for APAC, your mandate will encompass a broad spectrum of strategic and operational responsibilities, all aimed at optimizing human capital and driving business success across the region. Strategic HR Leadership & Business Partnership

Act as a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner to the APAC President and the regional leadership team. Develop, implement, and embed a comprehensive regional HR strategy that directly supports the business’s growth agenda, market expansion, and profitability targets.

Lead the annual HR planning cycle, ensuring alignment with global HR initiatives while tailoring approaches to meet specific regional and local market needs. Drive organizational design and effectiveness initiatives to ensure the structure and capabilities are optimized for current and future business demands across diverse APAC markets.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

Oversee the end-to-end talent acquisition strategy for the APAC region, ensuring the attraction, recruitment, and onboarding of top-tier talent across all levels, from emerging leaders to senior executives. Develop and implement proactive workforce planning strategies to anticipate future talent needs, address critical skill gaps, and build a sustainable talent pipeline. Champion employer branding initiatives to position the company as an employer of choice in highly competitive APAC markets.

Talent Management & Development

Design and execute robust talent management programs, including performance management, succession planning, leadership development, and career pathing. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, ensuring employees have access to relevant training and growth opportunities. Implement effective retention strategies to minimize attrition of critical talent.

Compensation & Benefits

Change Management & Transformation

Lead HR aspects of significant organizational change initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, and digital transformations. Develop and execute comprehensive change management plans to ensure smooth transitions, minimize disruption, and maximize employee adoption and engagement throughout periods of change.

HR Operations, Compliance & Technology

Oversee all regional HR operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with local labor laws and regulations across all APAC countries. Drive the adoption and effective utilization of HR technology (HRIS, ATS, etc.) to streamline processes, enhance data integrity, and provide actionable insights. Ensure robust HR policies and procedures are in place and consistently applied.

HR Analytics & Insights

Leverage HR data and analytics to provide meaningful insights into workforce trends, talent effectiveness, and organizational health. Use data-driven approaches to inform decision-making, measure the impact of HR initiatives, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. For example, understanding how different markets respond to new product launches requires a deep dive into dynamic APAC consumer trends and aligning HR strategies accordingly.

Requirements for the Regional HR Director (APAC) – Global FMCG Leader – Singapore

To excel in this demanding yet highly rewarding role, candidates must demonstrate a robust blend of strategic acumen, extensive regional experience, and exceptional leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess:

Educational Background

A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field is essential. A Master’s degree (e.g., MBA, MA in HR Management) or relevant professional certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) are highly preferred and will be a significant advantage.

Extensive HR Leadership Experience

A minimum of 15-20 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 7-10 years in a senior HR leadership role (e.g., Regional HR Director, VP HR) within a large, complex multinational organization.

APAC Regional Expertise

Demonstrated extensive experience leading HR functions across multiple countries within the Asia-Pacific region. FMCG Sector Experience

Proven experience within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry is highly desirable.
