The Chief Supply Chain Officer will have a broad and impactful scope of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Strategic Vision & Global Leadership

Develop and champion a forward-thinking global supply chain vision and multi-year strategy that aligns with the company’s ambitious growth objectives. Collaborate with the C-suite to ensure the supply chain functions as a strategic enabler for new product introductions, market expansion, and M&A activities.

End-to-End Supply Chain Optimization

Provide executive oversight for all facets of the supply chain, including global demand and supply planning (S&OP), strategic sourcing, procurement, contract manufacturing, internal manufacturing operations, logistics, warehousing, and last-mile distribution. Drive network optimization studies to ensure a cost-effective and efficient flow of goods.

Digital Transformation & Technology Integration

Lead the charge in the digital evolution of the supply chain. Champion the adoption of cutting-edge technologies such as AI/ML for demand forecasting, IoT for asset tracking, and advanced analytics for decision-making. Oversee the optimization of core systems like ERP, WMS, and TMS to create a fully integrated and visible supply chain. Ensure the organization stays ahead of industry trends by following established supply chain management best practices and frameworks.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

Instill a culture of continuous improvement across the organization, leveraging methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Establish, monitor, and drive improvement against key performance indicators (KPIs) including on-time in-full (OTIF), inventory turns, cost-to-serve, forecast accuracy, and total landed cost.

Financial Acumen & Performance Management

Assume full P&L responsibility for the global supply chain organization, managing a significant budget with rigorous financial discipline. Develop annual operating plans and long-range financial models. Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality, safety, or service levels.

Talent Development & Organizational Leadership

Lead, mentor, and inspire a large, geographically dispersed team of supply chain professionals. Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration, and accountability. Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives. Develop a robust talent pipeline and succession plans for critical leadership roles within the supply chain organization.

Risk Management & Supply Chain Resilience

Supplier Relationship Management

Requirements for the Chief Supply Chain Officer with a Global CPG Company – Cincinnati, OH

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned executive with a demonstrated history of leading large-scale supply chain transformations within the CPG industry.

Educational Background

An MBA or a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related business field is strongly preferred. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is required.

Executive Experience

A minimum of 20 years of progressive leadership experience within complex, global supply chain organizations. At least 7-10 years of experience in a senior executive role (e.g., VP, SVP, or CSCO) with full P&L responsibility for a significant global operation.
