Key Responsibilities of Chief Product Officer with a B2B SaaS Platform – Seattle, WA

Product Vision & Strategy

Define, articulate, and champion a clear and compelling long-term product vision and strategy that aligns with the overall company objectives. Continuously evaluate and adapt the strategy based on market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback.

Roadmap Development & Execution

Own the creation, prioritization, and communication of the product roadmap. Work closely with engineering, marketing, and sales leadership to ensure timely and successful delivery of new features and products that meet market demands and drive revenue growth.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing product organization, including product management, UX/UI design, and user research. Foster a culture of excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement. Set clear goals and provide regular feedback to ensure team members are developing and succeeding.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Market & Customer Intelligence

Be the foremost expert on our customers, their challenges, and their needs. Implement robust processes for gathering and analyzing qualitative and quantitative customer feedback, market research, and competitive intelligence to inform product decisions.

Data-Driven Decision Making

Champion a data-informed culture within the product organization. Define and analyze key product metrics (e.g., adoption, engagement, retention, NPS) to measure success, identify opportunities for improvement, and guide the product roadmap.

Go-to-Market Strategy

Collaborate with marketing and sales to define product positioning, pricing, and packaging. Develop and execute successful product launches, ensuring the entire organization is equipped to market, sell, and support new offerings effectively.

Innovation and Growth

Drive product innovation by identifying new market opportunities and exploring adjacent product lines. Be a key driver in pioneering a product-led growth (PLG) model where applicable, empowering users to discover, adopt, and realize value from the product independently.

Financial & Business Acumen

Take ownership of the product P&L. Develop business cases for new initiatives, manage the product budget, and contribute to the company’s overall financial planning and forecasting.

Requirements for the Chief Product Officer with a B2B SaaS Platform – Seattle, WA

Executive Experience

A minimum of 15+ years of experience in product management, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., VP of Product, Head of Product, CPO) within a high-growth B2B SaaS environment.

Proven Track Record

Demonstrable success in scaling a product organization and delivering market-leading B2B SaaS products from concept to launch and beyond. Experience managing a product portfolio with a multi-million dollar ARR.

Education
