The Chief Marketing Officer will assume full ownership of the global marketing function, developing and executing a cohesive strategy that aligns with and accelerates the company’s ambitious business objectives. This includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Vision

Develop, articulate, and execute a comprehensive global marketing strategy that drives brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. Demand Generation & Growth Marketing

Oversee all aspects of digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, content marketing, email marketing, social media, and account-based marketing (ABM). Implement sophisticated lead nurturing and scoring programs to optimize conversion rates throughout the marketing and sales funnel. Product Marketing & Go-to-Market Strategy

Lead the product marketing function to develop clear and compelling value propositions, messaging, and positioning for the company’s cloud solutions. Collaborate closely with the Product and Sales teams to orchestrate successful product launches and create effective sales enablement materials, including presentations, datasheets, case studies, and competitive battle cards.

Content & Thought Leadership

Oversee the development of a robust content strategy that establishes the company as a trusted authority and thought leader in the enterprise cloud space. Guide the creation of high-impact content assets, such as white papers, eBooks, webinars, blog posts, and research reports, to engage target audiences at every stage of the buyer’s journey.

Marketing Operations & Analytics

Own the marketing technology stack (MarTech), ensuring the right tools and processes are in place to enable efficient and effective marketing execution. Champion a data-first approach, establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and building dashboards to track, measure, and report on the performance of all marketing initiatives. Provide regular, insightful analysis to the executive team and board of directors on marketing ROI and pipeline contribution.

Budget & Resource Management

Requirements for the Chief Marketing Officer with an Enterprise Cloud Vendor – Seattle, WA

The successful candidate will be a proven marketing executive with deep expertise in the B2B technology sector and a passion for building great companies. The following qualifications are essential for this role:

Executive Experience

A minimum of 15 years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership capacity (e.g., VP of Marketing, CMO) within a B2B enterprise software, SaaS, or cloud technology company.

Industry Expertise
