Product Vision and Long-Term Strategy

Team Leadership and Development

Build, mentor, and lead a world-class product strategy and management organization. Innovation and Incubation

Develop robust business cases for new product initiatives, including market sizing, revenue projections, and P&L analysis. Collaborate with finance and sales operations to define and refine pricing and packaging strategies that drive profitability and market share.

Requirements for the VP, Product Strategy with an Enterprise Software Firm – San Jose, CA

Extensive Experience

A minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience in product management, with at least 7-10 years in a senior leadership capacity (Director, Sr. Director, or VP level) within an enterprise B2B software or SaaS company.

Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is highly preferred.

Proven Strategic Leadership

Demonstrated success in defining and executing a product strategy that resulted in significant market share growth, revenue expansion, and customer satisfaction for a complex enterprise product portfolio.

World-class written, verbal, and presentation skills. Ability to distill complex concepts into simple, compelling narratives for diverse audiences, from C-level executives and board members to engineers and customers.

Strong Business and Financial Insight

Expertise in market analysis, competitive intelligence, pricing strategy, and financial modeling. A proven ability to translate market insights into tangible business results.
