Key Responsibilities of VP, Supply Chain Analytics with a Consumer Goods Co. – Cincinnati, OH

Strategic Leadership & Vision

Develop, articulate, and execute a comprehensive, multi-year roadmap for the supply chain analytics function. Align this strategy with overarching business objectives, ensuring analytics initiatives deliver measurable ROI and support long-term corporate goals. Act as the primary thought leader for data and analytics within the supply chain executive team.

Team Development & Mentorship

Recruit, lead, and foster a world-class team of data scientists, data analysts, and BI developers. Cultivate a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration. Advanced Analytics & Predictive Modeling

Champion the move from descriptive to predictive and prescriptive analytics.

Data Governance & Infrastructure

Performance Management & KPI Development

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Network & Logistics Optimization

Utilize network modeling and simulation tools to analyze and optimize the company’s distribution network, transportation routes, and warehouse operations. Identify opportunities to reduce lead times, lower transportation costs, and improve service levels.

Cost-to-Serve Analysis

Develop sophisticated cost-to-serve models to provide deep visibility into profitability by customer, channel, and product. Use these insights to drive strategic decisions regarding pricing, portfolio management, and customer strategy.

Risk Management & Resiliency

Develop analytical frameworks to identify, quantify, and mitigate potential supply chain risks, including supplier viability, geopolitical instability, and logistics disruptions. Build models that enhance the agility and resilience of the supply chain network.

Executive Communication

Effectively synthesize and communicate complex analytical findings, insights, and strategic recommendations to senior executives and the board of directors. Use data storytelling to influence decision-making and secure buy-in for key initiatives in modern supply chain management.

Requirements for the VP, Supply Chain Analytics with a Consumer Goods Co. – Cincinnati, OH

Educational Background

Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field such as Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required.

Executive Experience

A minimum of 12-15 years of progressive experience in analytics and data science, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership capacity managing analytics or data science teams.

Industry Expertise
