The Vice President of M&A Integration will serve as the primary architect and leader of post-merger integration (PMI) activities for the bank. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Strategy, you will be entrusted with the end-to-end ownership of the integration lifecycle, from providing critical insights during late-stage due diligence to ensuring the full realization of deal value post-close. Integration Strategy and Planning
Develop and own the master integration plan and playbook for all acquisitions. Translate the deal thesis and synergy targets into a detailed, actionable integration roadmap with clear timelines, milestones, and dependencies for each functional workstream.
Integration Management Office (IMO) Leadership
Establish and lead the IMO, providing the structure, governance, and tools necessary for successful execution. Chair regular IMO meetings, track progress against the plan, and ensure accountability across all workstreams.
Cross-Functional Team Orchestration
Lead and coordinate a large, diverse team of functional experts from both the acquiring and target organizations. Foster a collaborative environment, facilitate effective decision-making, and resolve conflicts and roadblocks swiftly.
Synergy and Value Capture
Work closely with business and finance leaders to validate, track, and report on the realization of both cost and revenue synergies. Develop detailed financial models and dashboards to provide leadership with clear visibility into deal performance against targets.
Stakeholder Communication and Change Management

Risk Management and Mitigation

Due Diligence Support
Act as the integration subject matter expert during the late stages of the M&A due diligence process. Provide critical input on operational complexities, integration costs, potential risks, and synergy estimates to help inform deal structure and valuation.
Playbook Development and Continuous Improvement
Continuously refine and enhance the bank’s M&A integration methodology, tools, and templates based on lessons learned and industry best practices. You will be expected to stay abreast of and implement the latest M&A integration best practices to enhance the bank’s capabilities and institutionalize knowledge.

Educational Background
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is strongly preferred.
Professional Experience
A minimum of 10-12 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 7+ years in a dedicated M&A integration, corporate development, or management consulting role with a focus on post-merger integration (PMI).
Industry Expertise
Significant experience within the banking or financial services industry is mandatory. A deep understanding of banking operations, products, technology platforms, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., OCC, Federal Reserve) is essential for success.
Project Management Excellence
