Key Responsibilities of VP of Finance (Banking Fintech) – New York, NY

Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Lead the development and execution of comprehensive financial models, forecasts, and budgets. Provide insightful analysis of financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to support strategic decision-making. Drive long-term financial planning, capital allocation strategies, and scenario planning to ensure sustainable growth and profitability.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

Oversee all financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulatory requirements. Manage internal and external audits, ensuring a smooth and efficient process. Develop and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.

Treasury Management & Capital Allocation

Manage the company’s cash flow, liquidity, and investment strategies. Optimize working capital management and foreign exchange exposure. Develop and implement capital allocation strategies that support business growth initiatives while maintaining financial stability. Liaise with banking partners and financial institutions.

Risk Management & Internal Controls

Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks across the organization. M&A Support & Due Diligence

Requirements for the VP of Finance (Banking Fintech) – New York, NY

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from an accredited institution is required. An MBA or Master’s degree in Finance is highly preferred. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is mandatory.

Experience

A minimum of 10-12 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5-7 years in a leadership role (e.g., Head of Finance, Director of Finance, VP Finance) within the Banking, Fintech, or Financial Services sectors.
