Key Responsibilities of VP, Enterprise Sales, North America with a Cybersecurity Vendor – Boston, MA

As the VP of Enterprise Sales, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the North American sales organization. Your primary mission is to exceed revenue targets through exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and flawless execution.

Strategic Sales Leadership

Develop, articulate, and execute a comprehensive multi-year sales strategy for the North American enterprise market. Define clear objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and go-to-market motions to capture market share and achieve aggressive revenue goals.

Revenue Growth and Execution

Take full ownership of the North American sales number. Drive the team to consistently meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas. Team Building and Development

Attract, recruit, and retain A-player sales talent, including Enterprise Account Executives and Regional Sales Directors. Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning. C-Level Engagement

Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with executive decision-makers (CIOs, CISOs, VPs of IT) within target enterprise accounts. Serve as the executive sponsor for key customers, ensuring their success and transforming them into advocates for the company.

Operational Excellence

Implement and optimize sales processes, tools, and methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger Sale, Command of the Message). Leverage CRM data (Salesforce) to gain insights, drive performance, and provide accurate reporting to the executive team. Manage the sales budget, resources, and territory assignments for maximum efficiency and impact.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Forge strong partnerships with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Engineering leaders. Provide valuable market feedback to inform product roadmaps and marketing campaigns. Market and Competitive Intelligence

Serve as the expert on the North American cybersecurity market. Continuously analyze market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and potential threats, adjusting the sales strategy accordingly.

Channel and Alliance Strategy

Work in concert with the channel leadership team to develop and execute a robust partner strategy. Leverage Value-Added Resellers (VARs), System Integrators (SIs), and other strategic alliances to amplify market reach and accelerate sales cycles.

You are not just a deal closer; you are a business strategist. You possess strong analytical skills and can use data to inform decisions, build territory plans, and create predictable revenue models. Executive Presence and Communication Skills

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to command a room, present compelling business cases, and negotiate complex agreements with C-level executives and procurement teams.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is highly preferred.

Location and Travel
