Key Responsibilities of SVP, Wealth Management with a National Brokerage – Atlanta, GA

Strategic Leadership & Vision

Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for the Atlanta wealth management division that aligns with the firm’s national objectives. Identify market opportunities, define growth targets, and drive initiatives to expand market share and enhance the firm’s competitive position.

Team Development & Management

Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of financial advisors, portfolio managers, and client service professionals. Oversee recruitment, training, and professional development to build a best-in-class team. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-energy work environment that promotes excellence and accountability. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure team success.

Business Development & Growth

Drive revenue growth by actively participating in business development and client acquisition strategies. Cultivate and expand a network of professional contacts, including attorneys, CPAs, and other centers of influence, to generate new client referrals. Champion marketing and branding initiatives to elevate the firm’s presence in the Atlanta market.

P&L Management

Assume full P&L responsibility for the Atlanta wealth management office. Develop and manage the annual budget, monitor financial performance against key metrics, and implement strategies to maximize profitability and operational efficiency. Provide regular reporting and analysis to national executive leadership.

Client Relationship Management

Serve as a senior relationship manager for key HNW and UHNW clients, ensuring the highest level of service and satisfaction. Act as an escalation point for complex client issues, providing expert guidance and solutions. Champion a client-first culture throughout the entire team.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure all wealth management activities strictly adhere to industry regulations, internal policies, and ethical standards. Oversee all compliance and risk management functions within the office, working closely with legal and compliance departments to mitigate risk and protect the firm and its clients. Maintain an impeccable compliance record.

Market & Investment Strategy

Stay abreast of market trends, economic developments, and evolving investment strategies. Collaborate with the firm’s central investment committee to ensure that the advice and solutions provided to clients are timely, relevant, and aligned with their long-term financial goals.

Requirements for the SVP, Wealth Management with a National Brokerage – Atlanta, GA

Experience

A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in the wealth management or financial services industry, with at least 10 years in a significant leadership role managing teams of financial advisors.

Proven Track Record

Demonstrable success in driving revenue growth, managing a P&L, and expanding market share in a competitive environment. A strong history of successfully recruiting, developing, and retaining top advisory talent.

Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is highly preferred.

Professional Certifications

Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®), or similar advanced designations are strongly desired.

Licensing

Must hold active FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 & 65) licenses. The FINRA Series 24 (General Securities Principal) is required.

Client Focus

Extensive experience working directly with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, with a deep understanding of their complex financial needs.

Leadership Skills

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. The ability to inspire trust, motivate teams, and build enduring relationships with clients, colleagues, and community partners.
