Strategic HR Leadership & Business Partnership

Serve as a trusted advisor and member of the Technology Division’s senior leadership team. Develop and execute a comprehensive, data-informed human capital plan that directly supports and accelerates the division’s strategic objectives. Provide expert counsel on all people-related matters, including organizational design, change management, and leadership effectiveness.

Talent Acquisition & Management

Architect and oversee a sophisticated talent acquisition strategy to attract, assess, and hire premier technology talent in a highly competitive market. Develop robust talent management and succession planning frameworks to build leadership pipelines and ensure the continuous development of technical and leadership capabilities within the organization.

Organizational Design & Effectiveness

Partner with technology leaders to design and implement organizational structures that promote agility, collaboration, and innovation. Lead initiatives related to workforce planning, job leveling, and career pathing to create a clear and compelling employee value proposition.

Culture & Employee Engagement

Champion and cultivate a dynamic, inclusive, and high-performance culture. Utilize employee feedback, surveys, and analytics to identify trends and develop targeted initiatives that enhance employee engagement, morale, and retention. Foster an environment where employees feel valued, empowered, and connected to the company’s mission.

Compensation & Benefits Strategy

Leverage HR data and analytics to provide insights and inform strategic decisions. Champion the use of technology to streamline HR processes, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the employee experience. Ensure the HR function operates with a high degree of accuracy and compliance.

Employee Relations & Risk Management

Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations issues, ensuring they are resolved fairly, consistently, and in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. Proactively identify and mitigate people-related risks within the division.

Requirements for the SVP, Head of HR, Technology Division with a Global Insurer – Charlotte, NC

Executive HR Experience

A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 5-7 years in a senior HR leadership role (e.g., VP, HR Director, Senior HRBP) with significant strategic responsibility.

Technology Sector Expertise

Demonstrable experience providing HR partnership to a large, complex, and global technology organization is essential. The ideal candidate understands the unique talent landscape, cultural dynamics, and operational cadence of a tech-driven business unit.

Industry Background

While direct insurance experience is a plus, a strong background in financial services, FinTech, or another highly regulated, data-intensive industry is highly desirable. Understanding the complexities of supporting technology functions within such an environment is critical. Leadership & Influence

Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team of HR professionals. Must have a strong executive presence and the ability to influence and build credibility with senior leaders, stakeholders, and employees at all levels.

Transformational Change Leadership

Proven experience leading organizations through significant change, such as digital transformations, mergers, acquisitions, or large-scale restructuring.

Data-Driven Mindset

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of using data and metrics to drive insights and decision-making.

Educational Background

A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree (MBA, MS in HR, etc.) and professional certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) are highly preferred.
