Global Sales Strategy & Execution

Develop, articulate, and execute a comprehensive global sales strategy that aligns with the company’s ambitious revenue goals. Define sales targets, territories, compensation plans, and performance metrics to ensure success across all regions.

Leadership & Talent Development

Lead, mentor, and scale a world-class global sales organization, including VPs of Sales, Regional Directors, Enterprise Account Executives, and Sales Development teams. Attract, hire, and retain top-tier sales talent and cultivate a culture of winning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Revenue Ownership & Growth

Take full ownership of the global new logo acquisition and customer expansion revenue number. Implement strategies to accelerate sales cycles, increase average deal size, and improve win rates against key competitors.

Market Penetration & Expansion

Identify and prioritize new geographic and vertical markets for expansion. Develop and implement tailored go-to-market strategies for each new market, considering local nuances and competitive landscapes.

Sales Process & Operational Excellence

Refine and optimize the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to closing. Champion the use of a structured sales methodology (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger Sale) and leverage the sales technology stack (Salesforce, SalesLoft, etc.) to drive efficiency, predictability, and data-driven decision-making.

C-Level Engagement & Strategic Deals

Personally engage in and provide executive sponsorship for the most strategic, high-value enterprise deals. Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives at key prospect and customer accounts, acting as a trusted advisor.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Foster a seamless partnership with Marketing, Product Management, Customer Success, and Finance. Ensure tight alignment on lead generation, product roadmap priorities, customer onboarding, and overall business strategy to create a cohesive customer experience.

Accurate Forecasting & Reporting

Implement a rigorous sales forecasting process to ensure predictability. Provide regular, transparent, and accurate reports on sales performance, pipeline health, and market trends to the executive team and the Board of Directors.

Channel & Partner Ecosystem

Evaluate, develop, and manage a strategic global channel and alliance partner ecosystem to extend market reach, create new revenue streams, and accelerate growth.

Requirements for the SVP, Global Sales with a Logistics Software Firm – Atlanta, GA

The ideal candidate is a seasoned and accomplished SaaS sales leader with deep domain expertise and a proven history of scaling global sales organizations. We are seeking an individual with the following qualifications:

Experience

A minimum of 15+ years of experience in enterprise software/SaaS sales, with at least 7-10 years in a senior leadership capacity (e.g., VP or SVP of Sales) managing large, geographically dispersed sales teams.

Domain Expertise

Demonstrable and deep expertise in the logistics, transportation, or supply chain management software industry is mandatory. You must understand the market, the buyers, the challenges, and the competitive landscape intimately.

Proven Track Record

A quantifiable and consistent track record of exceeding multi-million dollar annual revenue targets in a high-growth technology environment. You should be able to speak in detail about how you built and scaled teams to achieve significant revenue milestones.

Leadership Acumen

Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team-building skills. Proven ability to scale a sales organization, for example, from 50 to over 200 global team members, while maintaining a strong and positive culture.

Strategic & Analytical Mindset

The ability to operate at a high strategic level while also being able to dive deep into the details. Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to management and decision-making are essential.

Operational Rigor

Mastery of modern sales operations, processes, and methodologies. Extensive experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and the broader sales tech ecosystem to manage pipeline, forecasting, and performance.

Executive Presence

World-class communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. The ability to command a room and effectively articulate a value proposition to C-suite executives and board members.

Location

The candidate must be based in or willing to relocate to the metropolitan Atlanta, GA area. This is a hybrid role with significant time expected in the Atlanta headquarters.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required. An MBA is highly preferred.
