Key Responsibilities of Site Director (Manufacturing) – Phoenix, AZ Area
Strategic Leadership & P&L Management
Develop and execute the site’s strategic plan in alignment with corporate objectives. Oversee full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility for the manufacturing site, including budget formulation, cost control, capital expenditure planning, and revenue generation strategies to ensure financial targets are consistently met or exceeded.
Operational Excellence & Efficiency
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all manufacturing processes utilizing methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and Kaizen. Optimize production schedules, workflow, and resource utilization to maximize output, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency and throughput.
Quality Assurance & Control
Implement and maintain robust quality management systems (e.g., ISO standards) to ensure all products meet or exceed customer specifications and regulatory requirements. Champion a proactive approach to quality, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions for any deviations.
Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Compliance

Requirements for the Site Director (Manufacturing) – Phoenix, AZ Area
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical), Business Administration, or a related technical field is required. An MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5-7 years in a senior plant management or site director role for a significant manufacturing facility. Experience within relevant industries (e.g., aerospace, automotive, electronics, medical devices, heavy machinery, consumer goods) is highly advantageous.
P&L Management
Demonstrated success in managing a full P&L for a manufacturing site, including budget creation, cost control, and financial reporting.
Operational Expertise
Deep understanding and hands-on experience with modern manufacturing methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement tools. Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a significant plus.
