Key Responsibilities of Senior Director of Logistics – Atlanta, GA

Strategic Logistics Planning & Execution

Transportation Management

Oversee all inbound and outbound transportation operations, including carrier selection, contract negotiation, freight optimization, and performance monitoring for all modes (truckload, LTL, intermodal, ocean, air). Warehousing & Distribution Optimization

Inventory Management & Control

Collaborate with planning and procurement teams to optimize inventory levels across the supply chain, balancing service goals with working capital objectives. Implement robust inventory control processes and demand forecasting methodologies.

Budget Management & Cost Optimization

Requirements for the Senior Director of Logistics – Atlanta, GA

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is required. An MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is highly preferred.

Experience

A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations, with at least 5-7 years in a senior leadership or director-level role overseeing complex logistics functions.
