Key Responsibilities of Senior Director of Logistics – Atlanta, GA
Strategic Logistics Planning & Execution
Develop, implement, and continuously refine the company’s overall logistics strategy to align with business objectives, drive efficiency, and support growth initiatives. This includes long-range planning for network design, capacity planning, and technology adoption.
Transportation Management
Oversee all inbound and outbound transportation operations, including carrier selection, contract negotiation, freight optimization, and performance monitoring for all modes (truckload, LTL, intermodal, ocean, air). Requirements for the Senior Director of Logistics – Atlanta, GA
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is required. An MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is highly preferred.
Experience
A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations, with at least 5-7 years in a senior leadership or director-level role overseeing complex logistics functions.
