The Partner for Transaction Services will have a broad and impactful remit, encompassing strategic leadership, business development, client service excellence, and team mentorship. Strategic Leadership & Practice Development

Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy for the Dallas Transaction Services practice. This includes identifying key market opportunities, setting ambitious revenue targets, managing the practice’s P&L, and ensuring sustainable profitability. You will be responsible for forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation to support strategic goals.

Business Development & Client Relationship Management

Leverage your extensive professional network and market presence to originate new client engagements. Actively lead business development initiatives, including pitches, proposals, and presentations to C-level executives and private equity principals. Cultivate and maintain deep, trusted advisor relationships with key clients, becoming their go-to expert for all transaction-related matters.

Engagement Execution & Quality Assurance

Serve as the lead engagement Partner on the most complex and high-profile transaction advisory projects, including buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence, carve-outs, and post-merger integration support. Provide ultimate oversight on all engagements to ensure the highest standards of quality, technical accuracy, and client satisfaction are met. Proactively manage engagement risk and ensure compliance with all firm and regulatory standards.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team of transaction services professionals, from Associates to Senior Directors. Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and entrepreneurial culture that attracts and retains top talent. Act as a dedicated mentor and coach, providing career guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities to cultivate the next generation of leaders within the firm.

Thought Leadership & Market Eminence

Act as a prominent voice and subject matter expert in the M&A community. Represent the firm at industry conferences, author white papers, and contribute to publications on topics related to M&A trends, due diligence, and valuation. Requirements for the Partner, Transaction Services with a Big Four Firm – Dallas, TX

We are seeking a candidate with a distinguished career, a proven track record of success in a leadership capacity, and the executive presence to inspire confidence in clients and colleagues alike. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership prowess.

Professional Experience

A minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience within a transaction advisory services practice is required. The majority of this experience should be from a Big Four or other nationally recognized accounting or consulting firm. A demonstrable and verifiable track record of originating and closing new business opportunities is essential.

Leadership Credentials

Proven experience in a leadership role (Director, Managing Director, or existing Partner) with responsibility for managing a team and a practice P&L. Experience building and scaling a practice is highly desirable.

Technical Expertise

Deep, expert-level knowledge of the entire M&A lifecycle. Mastery of complex accounting and finance concepts, particularly as they relate to financial due diligence for both buy-side and sell-side transactions. This includes quality of earnings analysis, net working capital adjustments, debt and debt-like items analysis, and identifying key value drivers and risks. You must be fluent in the industry-leading standards in financial due diligence and valuation methodologies.

Educational & Professional Certifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is mandatory. An active CPA license is strongly preferred. A CFA designation or an MBA would be considered a significant asset.

Client & Market Focus

Extensive experience advising both corporate and private equity clients on a wide range of transactions across various industries. A strong existing network of relationships with C-level executives, private equity investors, and M&A-focused attorneys and investment bankers in the Dallas or broader Texas market is highly advantageous.
