Key Responsibilities of Head of Last Mile Delivery – Global E-commerce Leader – Seattle, WA

Strategic Vision & Execution

Develop and articulate a comprehensive, long-term global last mile delivery strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives and growth ambitions. Translate strategic imperatives into actionable plans and ensure flawless execution across all regions.

Network Design & Optimization

Lead the design, implementation, and continuous optimization of a highly efficient, scalable, and resilient global last mile delivery network. This includes route optimization, sortation center placement, micro-fulfillment strategies, and hub-and-spoke models.

Carrier & Partner Management

Forge and manage strategic relationships with a diverse portfolio of third-party logistics (3PL) providers, local carriers, technology partners, and last mile innovators globally. Negotiate contracts, set performance SLAs, and drive continuous improvement with partners.

Technology & Innovation Leadership

Champion the identification, evaluation, and integration of cutting-edge logistics technologies, including AI-driven routing, real-time tracking, autonomous delivery solutions, predictive analytics, and warehouse automation to enhance efficiency, speed, and accuracy. Operational Excellence & Performance

Requirements for the Head of Last Mile Delivery – Global E-commerce Leader – Seattle, WA

Experience

Minimum of 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations, with at least 8-10 years specifically focused on last mile delivery for a large-scale, global e-commerce or retail organization.

Demonstrated experience managing and optimizing complex logistics networks across multiple international geographies, understanding diverse market dynamics and regulatory environments.
