Key Responsibilities of EVP, Retail Banking Operations with a Regional Bank – Atlanta, GA
The EVP of Retail Banking Operations will have a broad and impactful scope of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Strategic Leadership & Vision
Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for the retail banking division that aligns with the bank’s overall objectives. Drive initiatives to expand market share, grow deposits, and increase non-interest income. Continuously analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer behaviors to identify new opportunities for growth and innovation.
Operational Excellence
Oversee all day-to-day operations of the retail banking network, ensuring efficiency, quality, and consistency. This includes branch operations, teller services, ATM network management, call center performance, and digital platform reliability. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and process improvements to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
Financial Management
Hold full P&L responsibility for the retail banking division. Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics. Team Leadership & Development

Candidates must possess a distinguished track record of leadership and achievement in the banking industry. The ideal profile includes:
Educational Background
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is strongly preferred.
Executive Experience
A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in retail banking, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership capacity (e.g., Director, VP, SVP) overseeing significant operational functions and large teams.
Strategic Acumen
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful business strategies that result in measurable growth and profitability. Experience with strategic planning, budgeting, and P&L management for a large division is essential.
