The EVP, Head of Wealth Management will have a broad and impactful remit, encompassing strategic leadership, business development, team management, and rigorous operational oversight. Key responsibilities include:

Strategic Leadership & Vision

Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-year strategic plan for the wealth management division. Identify market trends, competitive threats, and growth opportunities to drive sustainable, long-term profitability. Set ambitious goals for asset under management (AUM) growth, revenue, and client acquisition.

P&L Management

Assume full ownership of the division’s profit and loss statement. Meticulously manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance. Implement effective cost-control measures while strategically investing in technology, talent, and marketing to fuel growth.

Business Development & Market Expansion

Lead the charge in acquiring new UHNW clients and expanding the bank’s footprint in key target markets, with a particular focus on the domestic US and Latin American corridors. Cultivate a robust network of external referral sources, including attorneys, accountants, and other centers of influence.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-caliber team of wealth advisors and relationship managers. Foster a collaborative and client-centric culture. Oversee recruitment, training, and professional development programs to ensure the team remains best-in-class. Implement performance management systems that reward excellence and drive accountability.

Client Relationship Management

Serve as the senior relationship manager for the division’s most significant and complex client relationships. Ensure the delivery of an exceptional, white-glove service experience that anticipates client needs and exceeds expectations. Act as a trusted advisor, providing sophisticated advice on investment strategy, asset allocation, estate planning, and philanthropic giving.

Product & Platform Strategy

Collaborate with internal partners in investment management, capital markets, and trust services to enhance and broaden the wealth management product suite. Champion the development of innovative solutions, including alternative investments, structured products, and customized credit facilities, to meet the evolving needs of UHNW clients.

Risk Management & Compliance

Uphold the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct. Ensure all business activities are conducted in strict compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Work closely with legal, compliance, and audit partners to manage operational risk and navigate the complex regulatory landscape, ensuring strict adherence to the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and other relevant regulations.

Requirements for the EVP, Head of Wealth Management with a Global Bank – Miami, FL

The ideal candidate will be a distinguished leader with extensive experience and a demonstrated history of success in the wealth management sector. Specific qualifications include:

Experience

A minimum of 15-20 years of progressive experience in wealth management, private banking, or a closely related field. At least 10 years in a senior leadership role with direct P&L responsibility and a proven track record of successfully managing and growing a significant book of business.

Educational Background

A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. A Master of Business Administration (MBA) or other advanced degree is strongly preferred.

Professional Certifications

The Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation is highly desirable.

Licensing

Active FINRA Series 7, 24, and 66 (or 63 & 65) licenses are required.

Market Expertise

Deep, nuanced understanding of the UHNW client segment, including their complex financial needs, investment preferences, and service expectations. Verifiable experience working with international clients, particularly from Latin America, is a significant advantage.
