Key Responsibilities of Director of Logistics (West Coast)

Strategic Logistics Planning & Execution

Develop, implement, and continuously refine the West Coast logistics strategy, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives, growth targets, and customer service standards. This involves forecasting demand, capacity planning, and long-range strategic initiatives to support market expansion.

Operational Excellence & Efficiency

Oversee all aspects of West Coast logistics operations, including inbound and outbound freight, warehousing, inventory management, order fulfillment, and last-mile delivery. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize service levels across all touchpoints.

Team Leadership & Development

3PL & Carrier Relationship Management

Budget Management & Cost Control

Requirements for the Director of Logistics (West Coast)

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field. A Master’s degree (MBA, MS in Supply Chain) is highly preferred and will be a significant advantage.

Experience

A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, and distribution management, with at least 5-7 years in a senior leadership or director-level role specifically overseeing West Coast operations.
