The Director of Enterprise Planning Systems will serve as the strategic owner for the suite of technologies that underpin the company’s global supply chain planning processes. This executive leadership role is responsible for the vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution of all systems related to demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP). Reporting to the VP of Global Supply Chain Technology, you will lead a talented team of managers, analysts, and technical experts. Your primary objective is to ensure that the enterprise planning systems are not only stable and efficient but are also continuously evolving to meet the future needs of the business. You will act as the key liaison between the Supply Chain business functions, IT, and executive leadership, translating complex business requirements into robust, scalable technology solutions. Strategic Leadership & Roadmap Development

Define and articulate a clear, long-term vision and strategic roadmap for the enterprise planning systems portfolio (e.g., SAP IBP, Oracle SCM, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis). Ensure this roadmap is aligned with overall business objectives and the broader technology strategy.

Team Management & Mentorship

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of system analysts, project managers, and solution architects. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability. Manage resource allocation, performance reviews, and professional development for the team.

System Governance & Optimization

Stakeholder Collaboration

Program & Project Oversight

Oversee the entire lifecycle of major systems projects, from business case development and requirements gathering to implementation, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Vendor and Partner Management

Manage relationships with software vendors, system integrators, and consultants. Lead technology selection processes, contract negotiations, and performance management to ensure the company receives maximum value from its technology investments.

Innovation and Emerging Technologies

Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the supply chain planning space. Champion the evaluation and adoption of new tools and methodologies, such as AI/ML for demand sensing and predictive analytics for inventory management.

Financial Management

Develop and manage the annual operating and capital budgets for the enterprise planning systems domain. Track expenditures, report on financial performance, and ensure fiscal responsibility in all technology-related decisions.

Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree (MBA or MS) is highly preferred.

Professional Experience

A minimum of 12-15 years of progressive experience in IT or Supply Chain roles, with at least 7 years in a leadership position managing enterprise-level planning systems and teams.

Technical Proficiency

Process Acumen

Deep knowledge of core supply chain processes, including demand forecasting, statistical modeling, supply network planning, capacity planning, and inventory management. Expertise in the principles and execution of Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is critical.

Leadership Skills

Proven ability to lead and inspire large, globally distributed teams. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, organizational development, and change management. Must possess executive presence and the ability to influence senior leaders.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and build consensus among diverse stakeholder groups.
