Strategic Leadership & Global Vision
- Develop and implement a comprehensive, long-term global supply chain strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business goals, growth projections, and market expansion plans.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and the board of directors on all matters related to supply chain, logistics, and global operations.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability across the entire supply chain organization, fostering an environment where new ideas are encouraged and operational excellence is the standard.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities, translating insights into actionable strategic initiatives that enhance competitive positioning.
- Lead the global Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to ensure tight alignment between demand forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity.
Operational Excellence & End-to-End Management
- Oversee all facets of the supply chain, including global procurement, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply of raw materials and finished goods.
- Direct and optimize global logistics, transportation, and warehousing operations, including the management of a complex network of distribution centers and third-party logistics (3PL) partners.
- Implement and refine inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize carrying costs, and improve cash flow while ensuring high levels of product availability and customer satisfaction.
- Drive manufacturing and production planning excellence, ensuring that operational key performance indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, delivery, and cost are consistently met and exceeded.
- Establish and monitor a robust set of performance metrics and analytics to track the health of the supply chain, identify bottlenecks, and drive data-informed decisions. According to the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), data-driven optimization is key to modern supply chain success.
Technology, Innovation & Sustainability
- Lead the digital transformation of the supply chain, championing the adoption of new technologies such as AI, machine learning, IoT, and advanced analytics to improve forecasting, visibility, and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate, select, and oversee the implementation of enterprise-level systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS) to create a fully integrated and transparent technology ecosystem.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sustainability strategy for the supply chain, focusing on reducing the company’s carbon footprint, minimizing waste, and ensuring ethical sourcing practices across the global supplier network.

Requirements for the Chief Supply Chain Officer with a Global Consumer Goods Co. – Los Angeles, CA
We are seeking a seasoned and accomplished executive with a proven history of leading complex, global supply chain organizations within the consumer goods sector.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 20 years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain management, with at least 10 years in a senior executive role (VP, SVP, or CSCO) overseeing a global supply chain.
- Extensive experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), FMCG, or related consumer products industry is mandatory.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing global supply chain strategies that have resulted in significant improvements in cost, service, and efficiency.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale transformation initiatives, including digital transformation and the implementation of new technologies and systems.
- Deep expertise across all core supply chain functions: strategic sourcing, procurement, demand/supply planning, manufacturing, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
- Exceptional financial acumen with experience managing multi-million dollar budgets and a strong understanding of the P&L impact of supply chain operations.
