Product Vision & Strategy

Develop, articulate, and champion a long-term product vision and strategy that aligns with the overall company objectives and addresses evolving market dynamics. Conduct comprehensive market research, competitive analysis, and customer discovery to identify new opportunities and ensure product-market fit.

Roadmap & Execution

Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life. Create and manage a data-driven product roadmap, prioritizing features and initiatives based on business impact, customer needs, and technical feasibility. Work in close partnership with the CTO and engineering leads to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery within an agile framework.

Team Leadership & Development

Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of product managers and designers. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, continuous improvement, and customer-centricity. Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and empower your team to do their best work.

Go-to-Market Strategy

Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Partnerships to develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies for new products and features. Define product positioning, messaging, and pricing models to drive adoption and revenue growth.

Stakeholder Management

Serve as the primary product evangelist both internally and externally. Effectively communicate the product strategy, roadmap, and progress to the executive team, board of directors, investors, customers, and industry analysts.

Data-Driven Decision Making

Define and analyze key product metrics (KPIs) to measure success, inform decision-making, and guide the product roadmap. Implement and manage feedback loops to continuously gather and synthesize customer insights.

Industry Expertise

Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes within the banking and FinTech industries. Understand complex financial standards, including modern payment rails and messaging formats like the ISO 20022 messaging standard, to ensure product compliance and competitiveness.

Requirements for the Chief Product Officer with a FinTech Core Banking Platform – Charlotte, NC

Executive Experience

15+ years of experience in product management, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., VP of Product, Head of Product, CPO) managing and scaling product teams.

Industry Domain Expertise

Deep and demonstrable experience in the B2B FinTech or enterprise financial software space is mandatory. Specific experience with core banking systems, digital banking platforms, payment processing, or lending technology is highly preferred.

Technical Acumen

Strong understanding of modern software development principles, including cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP), microservices, and API-driven platforms. Ability to engage in technical discussions with engineering teams and make informed trade-offs.

Proven Track Record
