Global Procurement Strategy Development
Design, implement, and continuously refine a comprehensive global procurement strategy that aligns with the company’s long-term corporate goals, financial targets, and sustainability commitments. This includes developing multi-year roadmaps for key categories, from raw materials and packaging to marketing and technology services.
Leadership & Team Development

Supply Chain Risk Management
Develop and implement a proactive risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate potential disruptions across the supply chain. This includes managing geopolitical risks, supplier financial viability, commodity volatility, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Sustainability and ESG Leadership
Integrate sustainability and ethical sourcing principles into all procurement activities. Partner with suppliers to advance the company’s ESG goals, including reducing carbon footprint, promoting diversity in the supply base, and ensuring responsible labor practices.
Digital Transformation & Analytics
Champion the digital transformation of the procurement function. Leverage technology, including e-sourcing platforms, spend analytics tools, and P2P systems, to enhance visibility, improve decision-making, and automate processes. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as a key strategic partner to the executive leadership team. Collaborate closely with R&D on new product development, with Manufacturing on supply assurance and quality, with Marketing on agency and media spend, and with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and working capital optimization.
Financial & Operational Excellence
Oversee the procurement department’s budget, policies, and procedures. Requirements for the Chief Procurement Officer with a Major CPG Company – Cincinnati, OH
Educational Background
A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related field is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is strongly preferred.
Executive Experience
A minimum of 15-20 years of progressive experience in procurement and strategic sourcing, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership capacity (e.g., Vice President, Senior Director) managing a large, global team.
Industry Expertise
