Key Responsibilities of Chief Human Resources Officer with a Global Insurance Brokerage – Hartford, CT

Strategic HR Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, providing expert counsel and strategic guidance on all human capital matters.

  • Implement robust performance management systems that drive a culture of high performance, continuous feedback, and accountability.

  • Foster a culture of learning and development, providing employees with opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.

Organizational Culture & Employee Engagement

  • Act as the primary champion of the company’s culture, defining, articulating, and embedding the desired values and behaviors throughout the organization.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, morale, and retention, using surveys and feedback mechanisms to monitor progress.
  • Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, creating an environment where all employees feel valued, respected, and have an equal opportunity to succeed.

Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations

  • Develop and manage the annual HR budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to support strategic priorities.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned and strategic HR executive with a proven track record of leadership in a complex, global organization. Specific qualifications include:

Education
