The Chief Global Operations Officer will assume ultimate responsibility for the company’s global manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, logistics, and quality assurance functions. Key Responsibilities of Chief Global Operations Officer – New York, NY

Strategic Leadership & Execution

Develop, articulate, and implement a comprehensive global operations strategy that aligns with the company’s long-term growth objectives. Serve as a key member of the executive team, providing operational insights to inform corporate strategy, M&A activities, and long-range planning.

Global Supply Chain Optimization

Architect and manage a robust, end-to-end global supply chain. This includes overseeing strategic sourcing, procurement, demand and supply planning, inventory management, and supplier relationship management to ensure continuity of supply and mitigate risks.

Manufacturing Excellence & Scalability

Direct all global manufacturing operations across multiple sites, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and cost objectives are met. Champion the implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, TPM) to enhance efficiency and scalability.

Logistics & Distribution Network Management

Oversee the global logistics, warehousing, and distribution network to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers worldwide. Optimize the network for efficiency, resilience, and compliance with international trade regulations.

Quality & Regulatory Compliance

Partner with the Chief Quality Officer to ensure all operational processes and products rigorously adhere to global regulatory standards. Uphold the highest standards of product quality and safety, ensuring compliance with cGMP, ISO 13485, and specific requirements from regulatory bodies like the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other international agencies.

Financial Stewardship & Performance Management

Develop and manage the multi-million-dollar global operations budget, including capital expenditure planning. Drive initiatives to reduce COGS and operational expenses while maintaining stringent quality standards. Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive performance and accountability across all operational functions.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Requirements for the Chief Global Operations Officer – New York, NY

Educational Background

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is strongly preferred.

Executive Experience

A minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in operations management, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., VP of Operations, SVP of Supply Chain) within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or a similarly regulated high-technology industry.

Global Operations Mastery

Proven track record of successfully managing complex, multi-site, international manufacturing and supply chain operations. Deep, hands-on experience in a regulated environment is non-negotiable.

Technical & Analytical Acumen
