Key Responsibilities of Chief Financial Officer with a Global Aerospace Supplier – Phoenix, AZ

The Chief Financial Officer will direct and oversee all financial activities of the corporation, ensuring the integrity of fiscal data and modeling for our future. Key responsibilities are comprehensive and include:

Strategic Financial Leadership & Corporate Development

  • Act as a key strategic advisor and partner to the CEO and executive team on all financial, operational, and strategic issues.
  • Lead the development and execution of the company’s long-term financial strategy to support sustainable growth and profitability.
  • Drive the M&A strategy, including target identification, due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and post-merger integration.
  • Manage relationships with the Board of Directors, investors, lenders, and the broader financial community.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, long-range strategic planning, and periodic forecasting with accuracy and insight.
  • Provide robust financial modeling and analysis to support key business decisions, including new product development, capital expenditures, and pricing strategies.
  • Develop and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) that provide the leadership team with critical insights into business performance and trends.
  • Oversee the preparation of insightful management reports and presentations for the executive team and Board of Directors.

Controllership, Accounting & Reporting

  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial reporting in compliance with GAAP, and SEC regulations for a public company.
  • Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax.
  • Maintain and enhance a robust system of internal controls in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
  • Manage the relationship with external auditors and ensure a clean and timely annual audit process.
  • Provide expert guidance on complex accounting matters, particularly those related to the aerospace industry such as program accounting and long-term contracts.

Treasury & Risk Management

  • Direct treasury functions, including cash management, liquidity, foreign exchange hedging, and investment strategies.
  • Oversee the company’s risk management framework, identifying and mitigating financial, operational, and strategic risks.
  • Manage the corporate insurance programs to ensure adequate coverage and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and international financial regulations and laws.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global finance and accounting organization.

Requirements for the Chief Financial Officer with a Global Aerospace Supplier – Phoenix, AZ

We are seeking a world-class executive with a distinguished career in financial leadership. The qualifications for this role are stringent and reflect the seniority and complexity of the position.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience in senior financial leadership roles (e.g., VP Finance, Division CFO, CFO).
