Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Accounting Officer will lead financial planning, reporting, and business partnering across the enterprise, translating financial data into insight that guides decisions on cost, margin, investment, and growth.

Key Responsibilities of Chief Accounting Officer, Software & Technology
The role will lead finance and business partnering, with responsibilities including but not limited to:
Financial Strategy
Partner with leadership on financial strategy, planning, and capital decisions.
Financial Planning & Analysis
Lead planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial modeling.
Financial Reporting
Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in accordance with applicable standards.
Business Partnering
Serve as a strategic finance partner to commercial, operations, and functional leaders.
Margin & Profitability
Analyze and improve product, channel, and customer profitability.
Forecasting & Scenario Analysis
Own rolling forecasts and scenario analysis to guide agile decisions.
Internal Controls
Maintain sound internal controls and financial discipline across the business.
Capital Allocation
Support capital allocation and investment analysis for key initiatives.
Cash & Working Capital
Monitor cash flow and working capital in partnership with operations.
Systems & Automation
Improve financial systems, planning tools, and reporting automation.
M&A & Strategic Support
Support corporate development and strategic initiatives with financial analysis.
Team Leadership
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team.
Requirements for the Chief Accounting Officer, Software & Technology
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required; an MBA and/or CPA or CFA is strongly preferred.
Experience
Progressive finance experience, including finance leadership within a comparable industry.
Finance Expertise
Deep expertise across financial planning, analysis, reporting, and controls.
Commercial Acumen
A proven ability to partner with the business and influence financial decisions.
Analytical Skills
Superior analytical skills, with strong command of financial systems and data.
Leadership
Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing finance teams.
Communication
Excellent communication skills, able to translate financial insight for non-financial leaders.
Systems Fluency
Experience with ERP, planning, and BI tools and a drive to improve processes.
Integrity
Unquestionable ethics, discretion, and sound judgment.
