As the VP of Corporate Development, you will own the entire lifecycle of strategic inorganic growth initiatives. Your responsibilities will be broad and impactful, including:
M&A Strategy and Execution
Develop and refine the company’s M&A thesis in collaboration with the executive team. Proactively build and manage a robust pipeline of potential acquisition targets, from small tech-and-talent tuck-ins to larger, transformative deals. Lead all aspects of the M&A process, including initial screening, strategic and financial evaluation, valuation, due diligence, negotiation of terms, and definitive documentation.
Deal Sourcing and Relationship Building
Cultivate a strong network of relationships with investment bankers, venture capitalists, private equity firms, and industry executives to source proprietary deal flow. Represent the company as a thought leader in the FinTech community.
Due Diligence Leadership
Quarterback comprehensive, cross-functional due diligence efforts by coordinating with internal teams (Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, HR) and external advisors. Synthesize findings into clear, actionable recommendations for the executive team and the Board.
Financial Modeling and Valuation
Build and oversee the development of sophisticated financial models, including valuation analyses (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions) and synergy assessments to support investment decisions and negotiations.
Strategic Investments and Partnerships
Identify, evaluate, and execute minority strategic investments in emerging technology companies that offer complementary capabilities or access to new markets. Structure and negotiate complex strategic partnerships and joint ventures that drive commercial value and accelerate product roadmaps.
Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis
Serve as the company’s expert on the competitive landscape and market dynamics. Conduct continuous analysis of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor strategies to identify potential threats and opportunities. Your deep understanding of the global FinTech landscape will be critical.
Post-Merger Integration (PMI)
Collaborate closely with a dedicated integration management team to ensure the successful integration of acquired companies. Provide strategic oversight during the PMI planning phase to ensure that deal objectives and synergies are realized.
Executive and Board Communication
Prepare and present clear, concise, and compelling investment theses and recommendations to the executive leadership team and the Board of Directors. Develop materials for board meetings and investor updates related to corporate development activities.

Experience
