The Head of Private Wealth Management will have a broad and impactful scope of responsibilities, overseeing all facets of the division. Success in this role will be measured by revenue growth, client retention, advisor productivity, and the overall strategic health of the business.
Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Develop, articulate, and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for the Private Wealth Management division that aligns with the firm’s overall objectives.
- Set ambitious yet achievable goals for growth, including targets for Assets Under Management (AUM), revenue, and profitability.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and new opportunities for expansion within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and beyond.
- Drive innovation in service offerings, client experience, and technology adoption to maintain a competitive edge.
- Assume full P&L responsibility for the division, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management.
Business Development & Client Acquisition
- Lead the division’s business development efforts, personally engaging with key prospects and centers of influence to attract new UHNW clients.
- Cultivate and maintain a strong network of external partners, including attorneys, accountants, and other professionals, to generate a consistent pipeline of qualified referrals.
- Serve as the public face of the firm’s wealth management practice in Dallas, representing the company at industry conferences, seminars, and community events.
- Develop and implement targeted marketing and sales strategies to enhance brand visibility and attract the firm’s ideal client profile.
Team Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of seasoned wealth advisors, associate advisors, and client service professionals.

- Establish clear performance metrics (KPIs) and conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and coaching to drive individual and team success.

- Champion professional development and create career progression pathways for team members.
Client Service & Relationship Management
- Ensure the delivery of an exceptional, white-glove service experience for all clients, setting the standard for excellence across the division.
- Act as a senior relationship manager and trusted advisor for the firm’s most significant and complex client relationships.
- Oversee the development and implementation of sophisticated, customized financial plans and investment strategies tailored to the unique needs of affluent clients.
- Develop and monitor client satisfaction and retention programs, proactively addressing any issues to ensure long-term loyalty.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Uphold the highest standards of ethics and integrity, ensuring all divisional activities are conducted in full compliance with SEC, FINRA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the division’s risk management framework, identifying potential risks and implementing robust controls to mitigate them.
- Partner with the firm’s legal and compliance departments to stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure policies and procedures are updated accordingly.
- Promote a strong culture of compliance throughout the team.
Requirements for the Head of Private Wealth Management with a Brokerage Firm – Dallas, TX
We are seeking a distinguished and accomplished leader with extensive experience and a deep understanding of the wealth management landscape. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in the financial services industry, specifically within wealth management or private banking.
- A minimum of 7-10 years of direct management and leadership experience, with a proven ability to build, scale, and lead high-performing teams of advisors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Active and in good standing FINRA Series 7, 24, and 66 (or 63 & 65) licenses.
- Demonstrable track record of successfully growing a wealth management business, including significant AUM and revenue growth.
- Extensive experience and deep expertise in providing complex financial planning for high-net-worth individuals and families, including investment management, trust and estate planning, and credit solutions.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels.
- Strong business acumen with proven P&L management experience.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Dallas, TX area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or other relevant advanced degree.
- Professional designations such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®), or Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA®).
- Experience working within a major wirehouse, a large independent brokerage firm, or a multi-family office environment.
