As the Vice President of Global Real Estate & Facilities, you will serve as the single point of executive accountability for all aspects of the company’s physical assets worldwide. Global Real Estate Strategy & Portfolio Optimization

Develop, articulate, and implement a multi-year global real estate strategy that supports long-term business growth and operational objectives. Conduct continuous, data-driven portfolio analysis to identify opportunities for consolidation, expansion, relocation, or disposition to enhance value and reduce costs. Lead complex negotiations for leases, acquisitions, and sales, ensuring favorable terms and mitigating legal and financial risk.

Facilities Management & Operational Excellence

Establish and enforce global standards for facilities management, ensuring all sites are safe, secure, efficient, and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations. Oversee comprehensive preventative maintenance programs, advanced EHS protocols, and robust business continuity planning to minimize operational disruptions. Drive a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement across all managed facilities through the implementation of best practices and innovative technologies.

Capital Project Delivery

Provide executive oversight for the entire lifecycle of major capital projects, from initial concept and financial approval to design, construction, and commissioning. Manage a multi-million dollar annual capital budget, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget while meeting the highest standards of quality and safety.

Strategic Leadership & Team Empowerment

Lead, mentor, and develop a global organization of real estate, facilities, and project management professionals. Financial & Budgetary Oversight

Assume full P&L responsibility for the global real estate and facilities function. Develop and manage annual operating (OPEX) and capital (CAPEX) budgets, conduct detailed variance analysis, and present financial performance reports and forecasts to senior leadership. Implement rigorous cost-control measures and identify innovative ways to generate value from the real estate portfolio.

Executive Stakeholder Collaboration

Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with executive leadership, board members, and key business unit stakeholders. Act as the primary real estate advisor to the company, translating evolving business needs into effective and agile real estate and workplace solutions.

Sustainability & ESG Leadership

Champion the company’s sustainability goals within the built environment. Develop and execute strategies to reduce the portfolio’s carbon footprint, improve energy and water efficiency, minimize waste, and achieve prestigious green building certifications (e.g., LEED, BREEAM).

Requirements for the VP, Global Real Estate & Facilities with a Fortune 500 CPG – Cincinnati, OH

Educational Background

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, Engineering, or a closely related field is required. An MBA or other relevant advanced degree is strongly preferred.

Executive Experience

A minimum of 15 years of progressive, strategic experience in corporate real estate and facilities management, with at least 7-10 years in a senior leadership capacity overseeing a large, geographically diverse portfolio.

Global Portfolio Management

Demonstrated, hands-on experience managing a complex global portfolio that includes a mix of property types such as corporate offices, manufacturing/industrial sites, R&D labs, and distribution centers.

Industry Acumen

Experience within a Fortune 500 company is essential. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, or other industries with significant operational and industrial footprints.

Transactional Expertise

A proven track record of successfully leading and closing complex real estate transactions, including major lease agreements, build-to-suits, acquisitions, and dispositions across multiple international markets.

Financial Acumen

Sophisticated financial skills, including expertise in financial modeling, discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, lease accounting standards (ASC 842), budget development, and P&L management for a large cost center.

Leadership & Influence

Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with a proven ability to manage and inspire a global, cross-functional team. Must possess executive presence and the ability to effectively communicate with and influence a C-level audience and Board of Directors.

Professional Certifications

Advanced professional designations such as the Master of Corporate Real Estate (MCR) or Certified Facility Manager (CFM) are highly valued and indicative of a commitment to professional excellence.

Travel
