Key Responsibilities of Chief Human Resources Officer with a Regional Health System – Raleigh, NC

Strategic Leadership & Executive Partnership

Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute a comprehensive human capital strategy that supports the health system’s mission, vision, and strategic goals. Serve as a trusted advisor on all matters related to people and culture.

Talent Acquisition & Management

Oversee the entire talent lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and succession planning. Develop and implement innovative strategies to attract, hire, and retain a diverse and highly qualified workforce, with a special focus on critical clinical roles.

Organizational Development & Culture

Champion the organization’s desired culture, ensuring its values are embedded in all HR programs and practices. Lead change management initiatives and design programs that enhance employee engagement, morale, and productivity.

Total Rewards Strategy

Requirements for the Chief Human Resources Officer with a Regional Health System – Raleigh, NC

Educational Background

A Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration (MBA), Healthcare Administration, or a related field is required.

Executive Experience

A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in human resources, with at least 7-10 years in a senior HR leadership role (e.g., Vice President of HR, CHRO) within a complex, multi-site organization.
