Key Responsibilities of VP, Enterprise Architecture with a Healthcare Tech Firm – Nashville, TN
Strategic Vision and Technology Roadmap
Develop, articulate, and govern a comprehensive enterprise-wide technology vision and strategic roadmap. Collaborate closely with the CTO, CIO, and other C-suite executives to ensure that the technology architecture is a direct enabler of the company’s long-term business strategy. Translate business objectives into actionable architectural blueprints.
Architecture Governance and Standards
Establish and lead a robust architecture governance framework, including an Architecture Review Board (ARB). Define, document, and enforce architectural principles, standards, best practices, and patterns across all technology domains. Ensure consistency and quality in solution design and implementation across all engineering teams.
Technology Innovation and Modernization
Act as the primary driver of technological innovation. Security, Risk, and Compliance

Proactively identify and mitigate architectural risks.
Leadership, Mentorship, and Team Development
Build, lead, and mentor a world-class team of enterprise, solution, data, and security architects. Foster a culture of excellence, continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
Serve as a key technology evangelist and trusted advisor to business leaders across the organization. Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree or MBA is highly preferred.
Executive Experience
A minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience in information technology, with at least 7-10 years in a senior architecture leadership role (e.g., Director or VP of Enterprise Architecture, Chief Architect). Proven experience operating at a strategic level within a complex organization.
