Commercial Strategy & Execution

Architect and execute a comprehensive, multi-year commercial strategy to achieve aggressive revenue targets and long-term market leadership. This includes developing detailed plans for product launches, market penetration, geographic expansion, and life cycle management.

Sales Leadership & Revenue Generation

Build, scale, and lead a high-performance national and international sales organization. Develop sales strategies, set ambitious targets, establish compensation plans, and implement robust sales processes and analytics (CRM) to drive predictable, scalable revenue growth.

Marketing & Brand Development

Oversee the development and implementation of innovative marketing strategies to build brand awareness and drive demand. This includes product positioning, messaging, digital marketing, KOL engagement, medical education programs, and public relations to establish the company as a thought leader.

Market Access & Reimbursement

Develop and execute sophisticated market access strategies to secure favorable pricing, reimbursement, and coverage from government and commercial payers. Build relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare economic ecosystem.

Business Development & Strategic Partnerships

Identify, evaluate, and execute strategic partnerships, co-promotion agreements, and other collaborations to accelerate growth, expand market reach, and enhance the product portfolio.

P&L Management & Financial Acumen

Assume full P&L responsibility for the commercial organization. Develop and manage annual budgets, provide accurate forecasting, and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and manage performance against financial and strategic objectives.

Team Building & Leadership

Recruit, mentor, and develop a world-class team of commercial leaders and professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and urgency, inspiring the team to achieve extraordinary results.

Market Intelligence & Analytics

Establish a robust process for gathering and analyzing market intelligence, competitive landscape data, and customer insights. Utilize data-driven decision-making to identify market trends, refine strategy, and capitalize on new opportunities. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Serve as a key member of the executive team, working closely with R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, and Operations to ensure seamless alignment between commercial objectives and overall corporate strategy. Provide commercial input into product development and portfolio planning.

Requirements for the Chief Commercial Officer – Minneapolis, MN

Executive Experience

A minimum of 15+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience within the medical device industry, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role (e.g., VP of Sales/Marketing, CCO) with full P&L responsibility.

Proven Track Record

Demonstrable success in building and scaling commercial organizations in a high-growth environment. A proven history of successfully launching new medical devices and consistently exceeding revenue targets is essential.

Industry Expertise

Deep domain expertise in the US medical device market is required. Experience with capital equipment and/or single-use disposables, as well as navigating complex hospital sales cycles, is highly preferred. International commercialization experience is a significant plus.

Educational Background
