Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, the VP of Category Management will define and execute the marketing strategy across brand, digital, demand generation, and communications, turning insight into growth.

Key Responsibilities of VP of Category Management, Consumer Packaged Goods

The role will own the marketing agenda, with responsibilities including but not limited to:

Develop and execute an integrated marketing strategy that builds brand, demand, and revenue.

Product & Launch Marketing

Partner on go-to-market and product launches with compelling plans.

Communications & PR

Oversee communications, public relations, and reputation management.

Marketing Analytics

Own marketing analytics and attribution to measure impact and guide investment.

Marketing Technology

Modernize the martech stack and data capabilities to power personalization and efficiency.

Sales Alignment

Align tightly with sales, providing enablement and content that improve win rates.

Agency & Budget Management

Manage agencies and the marketing budget for disciplined, measurable return.

Requirements for the VP of Category Management, Consumer Packaged Goods

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is required; an MBA is preferred.

Experience

Progressive marketing experience, including marketing leadership within a comparable industry.

Marketing Expertise

Deep expertise across brand, digital, demand generation, and communications.

Growth Record

A proven track record building brands and delivering measurable growth in awareness, share, and revenue.
