Key Responsibilities of SVP, Digital Product Development with a Major Bank – Charlotte, NC
The SVP of Digital Product Development will have a broad and strategic mandate. Your success will be measured by your ability to drive growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and maintain a competitive edge in a rapidly changing digital landscape. Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Vision & Product Roadmap: Define, articulate, and champion a compelling vision and strategic roadmap for the bank’s entire digital product ecosystem. Ensure this strategy aligns with overarching business goals, market opportunities, and emerging technological trends.
- Executive Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing organization of product professionals. Cultivate a collaborative and innovative environment that attracts and retains top talent. Provide coaching and career development to direct reports and senior leaders within your team.
- End-to-End Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the complete product lifecycle from concept and ideation through discovery, development, launch, and iteration. Implement and refine best-in-class product management processes to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Customer-Centric Innovation: Serve as the ultimate advocate for the customer. This is a senior executive position requiring a history of significant accomplishments and deep domain expertise. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience in digital product management, with a substantial portion in a leadership capacity.
- At least 10+ years of formal people management experience, with a proven ability to lead and develop large, geographically distributed teams.
- Extensive Financial Services Experience: A deep and demonstrable background in the banking, wealth management, or financial services industry is mandatory. You must understand the complexities of the regulatory environment and the nuances of financial products.
