Technical Execution & Operational Excellence

Team Leadership & Talent Development
Lead, mentor, and inspire a large, globally distributed organization of cloud engineers, SREs, and data platform specialists. Attract, hire, and retain top-tier talent. Financial Management & Governance
Own and manage the entire cloud engineering budget, including cloud provider costs, tooling, and headcount. Implement FinOps best practices to optimize cloud spend without compromising performance or innovation. Establish and enforce engineering standards, governance models, and security protocols across the organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as a key partner to the executive leadership team, including the CPO, CTO, and Chief Data Scientist. Collaborate closely with product management to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to build consensus and drive alignment.
Vendor and Partner Management

We are seeking an accomplished executive with a proven history of building and leading high-performance engineering teams and delivering complex, large-scale technology platforms.
Executive Leadership Experience
A minimum of 15+ years of experience in technology, with at least 7-10 years in a senior leadership capacity (VP, SVP, or equivalent) managing large, multi-layered engineering organizations (50+ individuals).
Cloud & Data Platform Expertise
Demonstrable, hands-on experience designing, building, and operating petabyte-scale data analytics platforms on a major public cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Deep, authoritative knowledge of modern data architecture, including data lakes, data warehousing, data mesh concepts, and real-time streaming (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).
Technical Acumen
Expert-level understanding of cloud infrastructure, containerization, and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker). Profound experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation). Familiarity with the broader big data ecosystem (e.g., Spark, Flink, Presto) and modern data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift). A deep understanding of building cloud-native applications is essential.
Strategic Thinking
Proven ability to develop and execute a multi-year technology strategy that aligns with business outcomes. Experience driving significant architectural transformations and modernizations.
Business Acumen
Strong financial management skills, with experience managing significant budgets and implementing FinOps principles. Ability to articulate the business value of technical investments to executive stakeholders.

Educational Background
