The SVP, Global HR, Total Rewards will have a broad and impactful scope of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Strategic Leadership & Vision
Develop, articulate, and implement a forward-thinking global total rewards strategy that aligns with the company’s strategic goals and financial plans. Serve as a key member of the HR leadership team, contributing to the overall people strategy and fostering a culture of high performance.
Executive Compensation
Lead the design, administration, and communication of all executive compensation programs, including base salary, short-term incentives, long-term equity awards, and deferred compensation. Prepare and present materials for the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors, providing data-driven recommendations and insights on market trends and governance best practices.
Global Compensation Management
Oversee the development and management of the company’s global compensation framework, including job architecture, salary structures, and incentive plan design (e.g., sales compensation, corporate bonus plans). Ensure programs are competitive, equitable, and drive the right behaviors across the organization.
Equity Strategy & Administration
Partner with Finance and Legal to manage the company’s equity programs. This includes overseeing the annual grant process, managing the equity budget, ensuring compliance with global regulations, and educating employees on the value of their equity awards.
Benefits & Wellness Strategy
Direct the strategy, design, and administration of a comprehensive and competitive global benefits portfolio. M&A and Global Expansion
Act as the total rewards subject matter expert for all M&A activities. Lead due diligence efforts, develop integration strategies for compensation and benefits programs, and ensure a seamless transition for acquired employees. Provide strategic guidance for new country entries.
HR Technology & Analytics
Leverage technology and data analytics to drive informed decision-making. Champion the use of HRIS (e.g., Workday) and other tools to streamline processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and provide actionable insights into the effectiveness of rewards programs.
Compliance and Governance
Ensure all total rewards programs are administered in strict compliance with all applicable laws and regulations globally, including SEC disclosure rules, ERISA, and local labor laws. Maintain strong internal controls and governance processes.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global team of total rewards professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team and the broader HR function.
Stakeholder Partnership
Build strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including the C-suite, Finance, Legal, and business leaders, to ensure the total rewards strategy supports their specific needs and the overall business agenda. The successful candidate will be a seasoned executive with deep domain expertise and a passion for building programs that empower people and drive business results. Specific qualifications include:
Experience
A minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role specifically focused on Total Rewards (Compensation, Benefits, Executive Compensation).
Industry Background
Significant experience within a publicly-traded, global technology, semiconductor, or hardware manufacturing company is strongly preferred. Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth, and matrixed environment.
Executive Compensation Expertise
Demonstrable, hands-on experience designing and administering executive compensation programs and preparing materials for, and presenting to, the Compensation Committee of a Board of Directors.
Global Scope
Proven experience managing compensation and benefits programs across multiple international regions (e.g., North America, EMEA, APAC).
Educational Background
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is highly desirable.
Certifications
Professional certifications such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Global Remuneration Professional (GRP), or Certified Equity Professional (CEP) are a significant plus.
Technical Acumen
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a mastery of compensation modeling, statistical analysis, and survey data interpretation. Proficiency with major HRIS platforms (Workday preferred) and advanced Excel skills are essential.
