The Vice President of Corporate Strategy will have a broad and challenging mandate, with responsibilities that span the full spectrum of strategic planning and corporate development. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to generate and execute on ideas that create tangible value for the firm.
Strategic Planning & Analysis
Lead and contribute to the annual and long-range strategic planning process. Conduct in-depth analysis of the firm’s competitive position, market trends, and industry dynamics to identify key threats and opportunities. Develop comprehensive frameworks and models to support strategic decision-making.
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
Drive the M&A pipeline from end-to-end. This includes identifying and screening potential acquisition targets, conducting thorough due diligence, building complex financial models for valuation, and structuring and negotiating transaction terms. You will be a key player in the integration planning process for acquired entities.
Corporate Development & Partnerships
Identify and evaluate opportunities for strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and other inorganic growth initiatives that align with the firm’s strategic objectives. Build and maintain a network of industry contacts to source new opportunities.
Growth Initiatives
Develop robust business cases for new product launches, geographic expansion, and other organic growth strategies. Collaborate with business unit leaders to assess the feasibility and potential impact of these initiatives, ensuring alignment with the overall corporate strategy.
Market & Competitive Intelligence
Serve as the firm’s expert on the competitive landscape and market trends. Monitor competitor activities, new industry entrants, technological disruptions, and regulatory changes. Synthesize vast amounts of information into concise, actionable insights for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
Executive & Board-Level Communication
Prepare and deliver high-impact presentations and reports for the CEO, C-suite, and Board of Directors on strategic projects, market analysis, and M&A activity. Articulate complex strategic concepts clearly and persuasively.
Cross-Functional Project Leadership
Lead and manage complex, cross-functional strategic projects from ideation through to implementation. Assemble and guide project teams, ensuring clear communication, timely execution, and successful outcomes. Foster a collaborative environment to drive consensus and achieve project goals.
Financial Modeling & Valuation

We are seeking a highly motivated and accomplished professional who meets the following criteria:
Professional Experience
A minimum of 8-12 years of relevant experience in a top-tier investment bank (M&A or FIG group), management consulting firm (with a focus on financial services), or in a corporate strategy/corporate development role at a leading asset management or financial services firm.
Educational Background
An MBA from a top-tier business school is strongly preferred. A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field is required.
Industry Expertise
Deep knowledge of the asset management industry is essential, including familiarity with various asset classes (public equities, fixed income, alternatives), investment products, distribution channels, and the current regulatory environment.
Technical Skills
