Key Responsibilities of EVP, Head of Private Banking with a Global Bank – Miami, FL
The EVP, Head of Private Banking will have a broad and impactful mandate, with responsibilities spanning strategy, business development, client management, team leadership, and risk oversight. Strategic Leadership & Vision
Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-year strategic plan for the Private Banking division in the Miami market. Identify and capitalize on emerging trends, competitive threats, and new market opportunities to ensure sustainable, long-term growth.
Business Development & P&L Management
Assume full P&L responsibility for the division, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense management. Drive aggressive and profitable growth in assets under management (AUM), revenue, and client acquisition. Personally lead efforts to source, develop, and close significant new business with UHNW clients.
UHNW Client Relationship Management
Serve as the senior relationship manager and trusted advisor for the bank’s most significant and complex client relationships. Ensure the delivery of a superior, holistic client experience by marshaling the bank’s full suite of resources, including investment management, trust and estate planning, credit, and family office services.
Team Leadership & Talent Development
Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of Private Bankers, Investment Advisors, and support staff. Foster a collaborative, client-centric, and results-oriented culture. Actively recruit, develop, and retain top-tier talent to build the strongest team in the market.
Risk Management & Compliance
Uphold the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct. Ensure unwavering adherence to all internal policies and external regulations. This includes a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks established by authorities like FINRA and the SEC.
Brand & Market Presence

Collaboration & Partnership

This senior executive position requires a candidate with a distinguished career in private banking, exceptional leadership qualities, and a deep connection to the target market. The ideal candidate will possess:
Experience
A minimum of 15-20 years of progressive experience in private banking or wealth management, with at least 7-10 years in a senior leadership role managing teams and P&L.
Track Record
A demonstrable and verifiable track record of success in building and leading a private banking business, including significant achievements in asset gathering, revenue growth, and talent development.
Client Focus
Extensive experience and a strong personal network among Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) clients, family offices, and their advisors, particularly within the South Florida and Latin American markets.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related advanced degree is strongly preferred.
Certifications
Professional designations such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA) are highly advantageous.
Licenses
Active and in-good-standing FINRA Series 7, 24, and 66 (or 63 & 65) licenses are required.
