Strategic Technology Roadmap & Vision
Develop, articulate, and execute a comprehensive technology strategy for the wealth management division. This includes defining a clear vision for platform architecture, data management, application development, and infrastructure that aligns with long-term business objectives. You will be responsible for conducting market analysis and competitive intelligence to ensure the firm’s technology remains at the cutting edge of the industry’s digital transformation in wealth management.
Platform Development and Lifecycle Management
Oversee the end-to-end design, development, deployment, and maintenance of all wealth management technology platforms. This includes core portfolio management systems, financial planning software, client relationship management (CRM) tools, digital advisory platforms (robo-advisors), trading and execution systems, and client-facing portals and mobile applications.
Leadership, Mentorship, and Talent Development
Lead, inspire, and grow a high-performing global technology organization. This involves recruiting top-tier talent, providing career development and mentorship, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture, and structuring teams for optimal efficiency using Agile and DevOps methodologies. You will set clear objectives, manage performance, and ensure the team has the skills and resources needed to succeed.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Business Partnership
Serve as the primary technology partner to the heads of the Wealth Management business. Work collaboratively with senior stakeholders across product, sales, operations, and compliance to understand their needs, prioritize initiatives, and deliver technology solutions that drive revenue, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the client experience.
Innovation and Emerging Technologies
Champion a culture of innovation by exploring and integrating emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), big data analytics, and blockchain where they can provide a distinct competitive advantage. You will sponsor proof-of-concept projects and drive the adoption of new tools and techniques that can transform business processes.
Risk Management, Security, and Compliance
Ensure all technology platforms and processes adhere to the highest standards of security, data privacy, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with cybersecurity and compliance teams to manage technology risk, respond to audits, and ensure systems are resilient, scalable, and fully compliant with regulations from bodies like the SEC and FINRA.
Budgetary and Financial Oversight
Assume full responsibility for the wealth management technology budget. This includes financial planning, forecasting, resource allocation, and vendor contract negotiation. You will be accountable for delivering projects on time and within budget, while clearly demonstrating the ROI of technology investments to the executive committee.
Operational Excellence
Drive continuous improvement in system performance, reliability, and scalability. You will implement best practices for software development (SDLC), quality assurance, and IT service management (ITSM) to ensure a stable and high-performing technology environment for both internal users and external clients.

Educational Background
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is highly preferred.
Executive Experience
A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in technology roles, with at least 8-10 years in a senior leadership capacity (Director, Senior Director, VP) managing large, cross-functional technology teams within the financial services industry.
Domain Expertise
Deep and demonstrable expertise in the wealth management and asset management domains is mandatory. You must have a thorough understanding of financial instruments, advisor workflows, portfolio management theories, financial planning processes, and the associated regulatory landscape.
Technical Acumen
