The CFO will assume full responsibility for directing and managing the company’s financial strategy and operations. Key responsibilities are comprehensive and include:
Strategic Leadership & Executive Partnership
Act as a key strategic partner to the CEO, board of directors, and PE sponsor. Provide critical financial and operational insights to drive business strategy, long-range planning, and key decision-making processes. Translate the company’s strategic vision into a quantifiable financial plan.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Lead the annual budgeting and long-term financial planning processes. Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support forecasting, scenario analysis, and strategic initiatives. Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages, providing insightful variance analysis and commentary for management and investors. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to drive performance and accountability across the organization.
Accounting, Control, and Reporting
Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring the integrity and timeliness of financial data. Manage the monthly and quarterly financial close process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Guarantee compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other statutory requirements. Lead the annual external audit process, acting as the primary liaison with external auditors. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Leadership
Play a leading role in the company’s acquisition strategy. Direct financial due diligence on potential M&A targets, assessing financial risks, quality of earnings, and potential synergies. Develop sophisticated valuation and pro-forma financial models. Lead the post-acquisition financial integration process, ensuring a seamless transition of systems, processes, and personnel to drive the realization of expected synergies.
Treasury & Capital Management
Manage the company’s liquidity and capital structure to support growth initiatives. Oversee cash flow forecasting, including the development and maintenance of a 13-week cash flow model. Manage all banking relationships and ensure compliance with debt covenants and reporting requirements. Optimize working capital and develop strategies for efficient cash management.
Investor & Board Relations
Serve as a key point of contact for the private equity sponsor. Prepare and present detailed financial information, performance analysis, and strategic updates for board meetings and investor communications. Build credibility and foster strong relationships with investors, lenders, and the board of directors.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth. Structure the team effectively to support the scaling needs of the business.
Systems & Process Improvement
Continuously evaluate and enhance financial and operational systems (ERP, CRM, etc.), processes, and infrastructure to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability as the company grows. Champion the use of technology to automate processes and provide better business intelligence.

Educational Background
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is required. A CPA designation and/or an MBA from a top-tier institution is strongly preferred.
Professional Experience
A minimum of 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience. Crucially, candidates MUST have prior experience serving as a CFO or VP of Finance for a private equity-backed company. Experience in the technology services, SaaS, or managed services industry is highly desirable.
M&A Expertise
Demonstrable, hands-on experience leading the financial aspects of multiple M&A transactions, from due diligence through to successful post-merger integration.
Technical Acumen
Deep expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting. A strong command of US GAAP, financial reporting, and the implementation of robust internal controls. Experience with debt financing and covenant management is essential.
Leadership Qualities
