Global Strategic Planning & Vision
Develop, articulate, and implement a comprehensive 5-10 year global supply chain strategy that supports business growth, enhances profitability, and improves customer experience. This includes scenario planning for market volatility, new product introductions, and geographic expansion.
Network Design & Optimization
Lead initiatives to design and optimize the global supply chain network. Conduct rigorous analysis of manufacturing footprints, distribution center locations, transportation lanes, and inventory positioning to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
Digital Transformation & Technology Integration
Champion the digital transformation of the supply chain. Evaluate, recommend, and oversee the implementation of next-generation technologies, including advanced planning systems (APS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), AI-powered demand forecasting, and blockchain for traceability.
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Excellence
Evolve and mature the global S&OP process, ensuring tight integration between demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and financial objectives. Foster cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and R&D to create a single, consensus-based operational plan.
Cost Management & Financial Acumen

Risk Management & Supply Chain Resilience
Design and implement a proactive risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate potential disruptions. Enhance global supply chain best practices for end-to-end visibility and control.
Sustainability & ESG Initiatives

Performance Management & Analytics

Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Requirements for the VP, Global Supply Chain Strategy with a CPG Company – Atlanta, GA
We are seeking a seasoned and accomplished executive with a proven track record of strategic leadership in complex, global supply chain environments. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Educational Background
A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is strongly preferred.
Executive Experience
A minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 7-10 years in a senior leadership role (Director level or above) overseeing strategy for a large, global organization.
Industry Expertise
Deep and direct experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Food & Beverage, or a related fast-moving consumer-facing industry is essential. Must understand the unique challenges of this sector, including demand volatility, retailer compliance, and product lifecycle management.
Strategic & Analytical Skills
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate broad corporate goals into a clear, actionable supply chain strategy. Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, with a mastery of financial modeling and data-driven decision-making.
Technical Proficiency
