Key Responsibilities of Chief Data and Analytics Officer – New York, NY

Enterprise Data Strategy & Visionary Leadership

Develop, articulate, and execute a comprehensive, forward-thinking data and analytics vision and strategy that aligns with and accelerates the company’s overall strategic objectives. Act as the primary data evangelist across the organization, championing the value of data as a critical enterprise asset. You will collaborate closely with the C-suite and Board of Directors to secure buy-in, allocate resources, and demonstrate the tangible ROI of data initiatives. This includes defining key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the data strategy and its impact on business outcomes.

Data Governance, Quality, and Security

Establish and lead a robust, enterprise-wide data governance framework. This includes defining data policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of all data assets. You will be the ultimate owner of data quality and integrity, implementing master data management (MDM) solutions and data stewardship programs. A critical aspect of this responsibility is ensuring strict compliance with global healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, GDPR, and 21 CFR Part 11, safeguarding patient data and maintaining the highest standards of privacy and security.

Advanced Analytics, AI, and Machine Learning

Build and scale a high-performing team of data scientists, data engineers, and BI analysts. Lead the development and deployment of sophisticated analytical models to address complex business challenges. Define the technology roadmap for the data and analytics platform. Evaluate, select, and implement state-of-the-art tools and technologies, including cloud-based data warehouses, data lakes, and advanced analytics platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Requirements for the Chief Data and Analytics Officer – New York, NY

Educational Background

Proven, hands-on experience in architecting and deploying large-scale AI/ML solutions using languages like Python or R is essential.

Strategic & Business Acumen
