The Opportunity

Our client, a high-growth, design-forward DTC home goods brand based in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a visionary and results-driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This is a unique opportunity to lead a well-loved brand through its next chapter of exponential growth, market expansion, and product innovation.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will be responsible for the company’s overall strategy, P&L, and day-to-day operations. This executive will be a “full-stack” DTC leader, equally comfortable in brand storytelling and data-driven performance marketing. This leader will scale the company’s e-commerce engine, optimize its global supply chain, and build a world-class team in the heart of LA’s creative-consumer ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

The CEO will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s leadership and performance.

Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Develop and execute a 3-5 year strategic plan to drive profitable growth, brand equity, and market share.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the Board of Directors, driving alignment on strategy, budget, and performance.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, including potential channel expansion (e.g., retail, wholesale) and international growth.

Brand & Marketing Strategy

  • Serve as the ultimate brand champion, ensuring every touchpoint is consistent with the company’s voice and values.
  • Oversee the entire marketing organization, from top-of-funnel brand building to bottom-of-funnel performance marketing (e.g., paid social, search, CRM, influencer).
  • Drive a customer-centric culture, leveraging data and consumer insights to enhance the customer experience (CX) and drive LTV.

E-commerce & Digital Growth

  • Own the full P&L and performance of the e-commerce channel (the primary revenue driver).
  • Lead the digital product and tech teams to optimize the website for conversion (CRO), AOV, and user experience.
  • Analyze performance data (LTV/CAC, cohort analysis) to make agile, data-driven decisions on marketing spend and strategy.

Supply Chain & Operations

  • Oversee the end-to-end supply chain, including global sourcing, inventory management, and 3PL/fulfillment operations.
  • Drive operational efficiency and margin improvement through COGS reduction, inventory optimization, and logistics management.
  • Ensure the operational infrastructure is scalable to support rapid growth.

Financial & P&L Management

  • Assume full P&L responsibility, managing the company’s budget, forecasting, and financial performance.
  • Establish clear KPIs and a dashboard-driven culture to monitor business health.
  • Lead future fundraising efforts (if applicable) in partnership with the Board and maintain strong investor relations.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a “digital-first” consumer executive with a proven track record of scaling a high-growth, brand-led business.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive senior leadership experience (e.g., CEO, President, GM, CMO, COO) from a brand-led DTC, e-commerce, or consumer goods company.
  • Proven experience scaling a DTC brand from [e.g., $20M to $100M+] is essential.
  • Full P&L management experience is required.
  • Deep expertise in digital marketing, e-commerce, and performance analytics; must be fluent in CAC, LTV, AOV, and conversion.
  • Experience managing a physical product, including supply chain, inventory, and operations.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in the home goods, furniture, or lifestyle/design space.
  • Experience reporting to a Board and working within a venture capital (VC) or private equity (PE) backed environment.
  • A strong network in the Los Angeles tech/DTC/consumer brand community.
  • An MBA or other advanced degree is highly preferred.
  • A collaborative, transparent, and high-integrity leadership style.

Compensation & Benefits

A highly competitive executive compensation package will be provided, including a strong base salary, annual performance bonus, and a significant equity position in the company.

Location

This position is based in Los Angeles, CA. This is an on-site executive leadership role requiring a regular presence with the team to drive culture and collaboration.
