Responsibilities

As an Estimator, you will handle cost projections and budget planning for K-12 and university construction projects. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Cost Estimation: Develop comprehensive cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment tailored to educational facilities.
  • Pre-Construction Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to align budgets with project requirements.
  • Bid Preparation: Evaluate subcontractor proposals and prepare competitive bids to secure contracts.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential financial risks and provide solutions to mitigate them.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present cost breakdowns and timelines to clients and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in cost estimating for K-12 schools, universities, or other institutional construction projects.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • Certifications: PMP certification is not required.
